How do I add a Modifier to a Modifier?
How do I add a Modifier to a Modifier?
For example, I want to set up different side dishes for a menu item. My choices are French Fries, Mashed Potatoes, or Baked Potato. The baked potato needs to be modified to indicate whether it will come with butter, sour cream, bacon, chives, or loaded. What do I do?
Go to the blue Links button within BackOffice > Item Builder > Menu & Rule Builder:
- Create a Link Group for your side items (For Example: "Entree Sides").
- Add Baked Potato as an Item to this Link Group.
- Add a Modifier Group of Potato Choices under the Baked Potato item.
- Now go to the red Items button.
- Select the item that needs to have the Baked Potato side item.
- Add the Entree Sides Link Group to that item.
