General Functions Buttons Explained

  • Set OP Date - Allows you to set the new operation date for the current system date if no sales exist within the system.
  • Batch Close - Allows you to manually settle a batch at the end of a day's business.
  • Enable Offline Credit Cards - Allows you to process credit cards offline for a specified amount of time.
  • Reprint Last Check - Allows the reprinting of the receipt from the last check that was cashed out within the system.
  • Change Employee - Allows you to impersonate a different employee, so that you can perform specific functions for that employee.
  • System Information - This provides system information pertinent to the local computer. It is useful for troubleshooting system and network problems.
  • Launch BackOffice - Allows access to BackOffice directly from SoftTouch.
  • System Reset - For dealer use ONLY. Resets all the sales data in the system for either the current day or for the entirety of SoftTouch's usage, depending on your selection.
  • Manager Videos - Allows you to view instructional videos locally on that computer.
  • Alert Shutdown - Sends an alert to all stations warning them that all stations will soon be turned off.
  • Shutdown Stations - Allows you to either completely shut down the computers for all stations, or to have SoftTouch terminated on all stations.
  • Remote Session - Allows you to take control of a different station from the one that you are currently on.
  • Exit SoftTouch - Allows you to exit SoftTouch into Windows, restart SoftTouch or turn off the computer.
